Jose Lebron-Bosques

José Lebron-Bosques is an Instructor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez. His professional experience includes affiliation with the Center for Flow Physics and Control (CeFPaC) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's School of Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. (2011) and M.S. (2007) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a B.S. (2005) from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez.

His research focuses on experimental fluid dynamics, specifically using advanced measurement techniques like Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV), Laser Doppler Anemometry (LDA), and Constant Temperature Anemometry (CTA). Key research areas include wind turbine-atmospheric boundary layer interactions, roughness effects on turbulent boundary layers, and flow control in bubbly flows. His work contributes to renewable energy systems optimization and fluid dynamics modeling.

Lebron-Bosques' professional experience bridges academic instruction and applied research, with active involvement in facilities such as the Watervliet Facility (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute). His technical expertise spans both educational instruction and cutting-edge experimental methodologies in fluid mechanics.
