Jose Guzman is a Professor of Humanities and Coordinator of the World Language Program at Lasell University's School of Humanities, Education, Justice & Social Sciences. Born in Ecuador and later moving to the United States, he holds a Ph.D. in Latin American Literature and an M.A. in Spanish Languages and Culture from Universidad de Salamanca, Spain, along with a B.A. in Philosophy from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador.
His academic focus spans Latin American literature, contemporary Ecuadorian poetry, Spanish language pedagogy, and bilingual education. As an educator, he emphasizes communicative classroom environments, collaborative learning, and cultural exchange.
