José Luis Casteleiro Roca

José Luis Casteleiro Roca is a part-time Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of A Coruña (UDC), affiliated with the Ferrol Engineering School. Since 2014, he has combined academic teaching with a technical role at the Ferrol Military Arsenal, where he has worked since 2004 as a Technical Industrial Engineer specializing in missile testing and certification.

Active in academic governance, he has served as a reviewer for international journals and participated in scientific committees for conferences like IDEAL, HAIS, and SOCO. His teaching spans Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and specialized master's programs in energy efficiency, robotics, and IoT, with a focus on subjects like virtual instrumentation, smart cities, and control systems.

Current funded projects include collaborations with European Union entities, EMALCSA, ITCL, and the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation. His work emphasizes industrial applications of renewable energy systems, predictive maintenance, and hardware-based solutions for energy optimization.
