Joris de Hoog is a postdoctoral researcher and business developer at the Battery Innovation Centre within the Electromobility Research Centre (MOBI) at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). He holds a PhD from VUB's Department of Electrical Engineering and Power Electronics (2018) and has industry experience as an Application Engineer at Flanders Make and Project Manager at Engie France.
His research focuses on state estimation modeling for lithium-ion batteries, particularly in stationary storage systems and next-generation battery technologies. He also advises PhD candidates on electrical and electrochemical research topics.
