Jorgen Harris

Jorgen Harris is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Occidental College, appointed in 2019. He holds a B.A. from the University of Chicago and an M.A. and Ph.D. from Cornell University. His office is located in Fowler 208, with office hours on Mondays (3:30-4:30 PM), Wednesdays (9:30-10:30 AM and 1-2 PM), and Fridays (12:30-1:30 PM for Fun Lunch on Mosher Patio).

His research specializes in labor economics, focusing on the interplay between human capital development, labor market dynamics, and societal norms. Key interests include analyzing gender disparities in professional environments and economic aspects of parenting decisions.
