Jorge Sofo

Jorge Sofo is a Professor of Physics and Materials Science and Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University, affiliated with the Eberly College of Science. He holds dual appointments in the Department of Physics and the Materials Research Institute. His research focuses on condensed matter physics, quantum information, and the theoretical modeling of materials like graphene and thermoelectric systems. He earned his Ph.D. from the Instituto Balseiro (Argentina, 1991) and has been honored with the Cesar Milstein Award (2010, 2014) and Fellowships from the APS and AAAS.
