Jordan Kleiman is an Associate Professor of History at the State University of New York College at Geneseo since 2000. His research focuses on Environmental History, the History of Technology, Social Movements, and the Politics of Food, particularly the intersection of Environmental Justice and Alternative Technology movements. He teaches courses on U.S. History, Environmental History, the Vietnam War, and the Politics of Food.

He has directed numerous honors theses on environmental and technological topics, including the Love Canal disaster, sustainable agriculture, and the Cuyahoga River fire. His teaching extends to experimental courses on fracking and alternative food systems in the Rochester area.
