Jordan Hyatt

Dr. Jordan Hyatt is Associate Professor of Criminology and Justice Studies at Drexel University, where he also directs the Center for Public Policy. He holds a PhD from University of Pennsylvania and JD from Villanova Law School. His research focuses on evidence-based criminal justice interventions through randomized experiments.

His extensive scholarship examines prison reform, re-entry programs, and drug treatment interventions with emphasis on Scandinavian models, parole efficacy, monetary sanctions, and field research methodologies. Recent work highlights dignity-based reforms, pandemic impacts on corrections, and therapeutic approaches for high-risk populations.

Hyatt's publications demonstrate persistent focus on improving reintegration and public safety through policy partnerships. His current research analyzes linguistic barriers in prisons, vaccine hesitancy in correctional settings, and autism interactions with justice systems.
