Jordan Baye is an Associate Professor at the South Dakota State University (SDSU) Department of Pharmacy Practice, within the College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions. He holds a Pharm.D. from the University of Iowa (2011), an M.A. in Bioethics from the Medical College of Wisconsin (2006), and a B.A. from the University of St. Thomas (2001). His clinical practice is at Sanford Imagenetics, where he focuses on clinical pharmacogenomics (PGx) review, patient/provider education, and PGx implementation. His research interests include PGx outcomes, NIH-funded clinical trials, and ethics in medical practice.
Dr. Baye teaches pharmacogenomics, internal medicine, and ethics in the Pharm.D. curriculum. He is board-certified in pharmacotherapy (2013) and completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the Iowa City VA Health Care System (2012). Professional affiliations include the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, and Clinical Pharmacogenomics Implementation Consortium (CPIC).
His work emphasizes translating genetic data into clinical decisions and advancing PGx integration in healthcare. He actively participates in committees and local studies to improve patient outcomes through personalized medicine.
