Joop Schaye is a Full Professor at Leiden University, affiliated with the Leiden Observatory within the Faculty of Science. His research focuses on galaxy formation, the intergalactic medium (IGM), and cosmological hydrodynamical simulations. He leads the FLAMINGO and COLIBRE projects, building on prior work with OWLS and EAGLE simulations.
