Jonell Hudson, Pharm.D., BCPS, CDCES is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice Education & Training at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Pharmacy. She is based at the UAMS-NW Family Medical Center-Springdale location in Springdale, AR.
Dr. Hudson holds advanced degrees from the University of Arkansas (BSA) and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (Pharm.D.). She completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the William S Middleton VA Primary Care Residency in Madison, WI.
Her research focuses on diabetes management in underserved populations, health disparities reduction, and innovative health education strategies. Notable projects include interventions targeting Marshallese communities and developing culturally appropriate diabetes education materials.
Her teaching responsibilities include Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience in Ambulatory Care, Therapeutics III (Headaches and Sleep), and Preceptor roles for PGY-1 Pharmacy and Family Medicine residencies.
