Jonathan Wohlmuth

Jonathan Wohlmuth serves as a Junior Professor (Assistant Professor) in Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization for Batteries at the Institute for Power Electronics and Electrical Drives (ISEA), part of RWTH Aachen University's Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. His research concentrates on applying artificial intelligence to battery technology challenges, with core interests spanning battery modeling, aging process prediction, system design, and grid integration. As part of ISEA's research ecosystem, Dr. Wohlmuth contributes to the CARL Center initiatives and the new M.Sc. program in Battery Science and Technology in Engineering. He participates in seminars on lithium-ion batteries for electromobility and stationary storage, while collaborating on institute projects including Battery Aging Analytics, Reliable Power Electronic Systems, and Innovative Sensor Technology.
