Jonathan Sciarcon is an Associate Professor and Chair of History at the University of Denver's College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. He holds cross-appointments in the Center for Judaic Studies and affiliation with Gender and Women's Studies. His research focuses on Jews in Ottoman and post-Ottoman Iraq, complementing his teaching on pre-modern/modern Middle Eastern history, U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East, and American cultural engagement with Israel.
