Jonathan Prather is Professor of Zoology and Physiology at the University of Wyoming and Director of the LIFE program. His research integrates neurobiology, animal behavior, and STEM education, studying neural mechanisms of learning in birds and developing innovative science teaching approaches.
Dr. Prather leads research on avian neuroethology examining how songbirds perceive, evaluate, and learn vocal signals. His NSF-funded education initiatives develop virtual reality tools for STEM instruction. He mentors graduate students in neuroscience and zoology programs.
