Jonathan Payne

Professor Jonathan Payne is a faculty member at De Montfort University (DMU), holding the position of Professor of Work, Employment and Skills within the Leicester Castle Business School under the Faculty of Business and Law. His research affiliations include full membership in the Institute of Responsible Business and Social Justice, as well as the Centre for Law and Social Justice. His work focuses on pathways to decent work, particularly in collaborations with third-sector organizations addressing long-term unemployment and youth NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) populations.

Professor Payne co-led a research project funded by the DMU Business and Law Research Fund (2020–2021), investigating third-sector projects in England. His expertise intersects employment relations, social justice, and policy development. He holds a PhD and has contributed to teaching in areas such as employment law and organizational behavior.
