Jonathan Newsome, Pharm.D., is a Clinical Associate Professor and current Chair of the Department of Clinical Sciences at the University of Texas at Tyler (UT Tyler) Fisch College of Pharmacy. He holds a Pharm.D. from Xavier University of Louisiana (2008) and completed a PGY-1 Community Pharmacy Residency. Previously, he served as Associate Professor at South College School of Pharmacy (2012–2017) and Assistant Professor at Hampton University School of Pharmacy (2009–2012). His research focuses on addressing health disparities through ambulatory care and improving medication therapy access for underserved populations. He is actively involved in teaching pharmacotherapy courses and has held leadership roles in curriculum development and institutional committees at UT Tyler.
