Jonathan Mummolo

Jonathan Mummolo is an Associate Professor of Politics and Public Affairs at Princeton University's School of Public and International Affairs. He holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University and a B.A. from New York University. His research examines bureaucratic politics and political behavior with a focus on law enforcement agencies and police-civilian interactions, employing causal inference, statistical modeling, and experimental designs.

Mummolo's research explores various facets of policing including: the deployment of controversial tactics; how rules affect police-civilian interactions; racial dimensions of police behavior; and how policing tactics influence public perceptions of law enforcement. He conducts methodological research relevant to these substantive areas.

His scientific contributions have earned him the Statistical Software Award. He co-founded the Research on Policing Reform and Accountability (RoPRA) group and maintains active collaborations on policing research.
