Jonathan Mosley

Jonathan Mosley is an Associate Professor of Architecture at the Faculty of Environment and Technology, Department of Architecture and the Built Environment, University of the West of England (UWE Bristol). He specializes in experimental design practices and the intersection of architecture, art, and psycho-social studies.

His work investigates architecture's affective dynamics, focusing on destabilizing spatial hierarchies through collaborative interventions. Key interests include scripted spaces, participatory frameworks, and utopian speculation as architectural critique. Collaborations with artist Sophie Warren produce sites for negotiation and improvisation, engaging bodies, objects, and mediated presences.

Jonathan leads design research within UWE's PhD and Master of Architecture programs, emphasizing practice-led methodologies and transdisciplinary exploration. His projects have been commissioned by Tate Modern, Firstsite, and Venice Biennale, with publications including Beyond Utopia (Errant Bodies Press, 2012).
