Jonathan Moerschel

Jonathan Moerschel is a Continuing Lecturer in Viola and Chamber Music at the University of California, Santa Barbara's Department of Music. He is a violist with the renowned Calder Quartet, recipients of the 2014 Avery Fischer Career Grant, known for performing classical quartet literature and collaborating with contemporary composers like John Luther Adams and Andrew Norman. His performances span prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Walt Disney Concert Hall, and London’s Wigmore Hall.
