Jonathan Misurda

Jonathan Misurda is a Teaching Professor at the University of Pittsburgh's School of Computing and Information, Department of Computer Science. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh (2011), following his undergraduate (2003) and Master's (2005) degrees from the same institution. After a four-year stint at the University of Arizona (2018–2022), he returned to Pitt, where he had previously spent nearly 20 years. His primary focus is teaching systems courses and researching software testing methodologies, particularly leveraging dynamic instrumentation.

Teaching spans over 15 years, covering courses such as CS 0449 (Intro to CS), CS 1550 (Data Structures), and CS 1622 (Systems Programming). He has also developed educational software like CSBowlScorer for quiz games and contributed to Pocket PC applications.
