Jonathan Lee-Confer, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at the University of Arizona. He holds a PhD in Biomechanics (University of Southern California), an MS in Biomechanics, and a BS in Kinesiology (California State University, Sacramento). His teaching spans anatomy, kinesiology, and biomechanics at undergraduate and graduate levels.
He co-created biomechanical protocols for Arizona Senate Bill 1373 (statewide fall-response training) and serves as Vice Chair of Research for ASTM F13.50. As CEO of Verum Biomechanics, he provides expert testimony on injury biomechanics and safety compliance. His research focuses on slip/fall mechanics, balance recovery, and injury prevention, with publications emphasizing biomechanics in aging populations.
