Jonathan Hodgson

Jonathan Hodgson is an Associate Professor (Practice) in the School of Film at Middlesex University. His work focuses on experimental animation, documentary filmmaking, and socially engaged visual storytelling. He is particularly known for his animated documentaries addressing political issues like Guantanamo Bay detainee experiences and labor rights in 'Banana Land.'

• Guantanamo Bay: The Hunger Strikes (2015), an animated documentary based on prisoner testimonies
• Feeling My Way (1997), a pioneering experimental film exploring typography in motion
• Contributions to Animation Sketchbooks (2013), showcasing animator creative processes
