Jonathan Hanahan is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Master of Design in Human-Computer Interaction and Emerging Technology program at the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts, Washington University in St. Louis. He also serves as Co-Director of Fox Fridays, an interdisciplinary workshop series.
Education: Bachelor of Architecture (Virginia Tech), Master of Fine Arts (Rhode Island School of Design).
His research focuses on ambient interfaces and Sensory and Ambient Interfaces Lab (SAIL), exploring screenless interaction design to enhance digital experiences without imposing screen-centric paradigms. His work critiques technology's societal impact through speculative design artifacts.
