Jonathan Fox is a Professor and Department Head of the Department of Veterinary Sciences at the University of Wyoming since 2019. A board-certified anatomic pathologist, he leads research on neurodegeneration mechanisms with emphasis on Canine Dysautonomia.
His academic journey includes a BSc and BVSc from the University of Liverpool (1990, 1993), residency at the University of Florida (1993-1995), PhD from VMRCVM (1997-2002), and neurodegeneration research at Harvard University (2002-2008).
Dr. Fox's research focuses on elucidating causes of acute neurodegenerative diseases in canines, supported by the American Kennel Club. His diagnostic expertise spans livestock pathology and cross-species neurologic disorders prevalent in Wyoming.
Professional memberships include the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP) and Wyoming Veterinary Medical Association.

He directs departmental operations as Head while teaching PATB 4110: Diseases of Food Animals to pre-veterinary and animal science students, and oversees R1-level research infrastructure at the University of Wyoming.
