Jonathan Elliott

Jonathan Elliott is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Johns Hopkins University, with research interests spanning empirical industrial organization and environmental economics. He is currently on leave visiting Stanford University for Fall 2025.

His primary research areas include:

• Market structure analysis

Elliott's research employs structural modeling combined with rich industry data to examine technology adoption, investment incentives, pollution, and regulatory design across multiple sectors. His work spans electricity markets, telecommunications, the steel industry, and critical mineral mining.
