Jonathan Chevrier

Jonathan Chevrier is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Education at Université Laval's Faculty of Education (FSÉ). He is actively engaged in research, teaching, and academic leadership within the field of physical education, with a specialized focus on digital technology integration. His office is located in the Physical Education and Sports Building, Room 2182 in Quebec City.

Professor Chevrier earned his educational credentials from the University of Sherbrooke, including a Doctorate in Education (2021), Master's degree in Kinesiology (2012), and Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology (2009). His academic journey has been focused on educational intervention in physical activity and sports coaching.

His primary research interests center on sports didactics and the integration of digital technology in physical education. He directs LUNEPS (Laboratory on the Use of Digital Technology in Physical Education and Sport), where he investigates how digital tools, virtual reality, and augmented games can transform teaching and learning in physical education contexts. His work addresses both practical applications and ethical considerations of technology use in educational settings.

Professor Chevrier's recent publications (2022-2024) demonstrate a clear trend toward examining digital transformation in physical education, screen time effects on child development, assessment practices, and physical activity interventions.
