Jonathan C. Beck

Jonathan C. Beck is a Lecturer in the Departments of Political Science and Law, Societies and Justice (LSJ) at the University of Washington. His research focuses on higher education policy, inequality, and student social movements, with a comparative focus on Germany, the UK, and the US. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science (UW, 2022), an M.A. (UW, 2016), and a B.A. from Canisius College (2013).

His research explores how human rights frameworks shape student activism against tuition fees and educational inequality. His work has been published in Law & Social Inquiry.
