Jonathan Baker is the Department Chair and Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at Western Michigan University (WMU). He holds a Ph.D. from WMU (2009), an M.A. from the University of Kansas (2005), and a B.S. from WMU (2003). His research focuses on behavioral gerontology and staff training in aging and intellectual disabilities services. He previously served as an associate professor and coordinator of the gerontology certificate program at Southern Illinois University.
He is a Doctoral-level Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D) and holds editorial roles at Analysis of Verbal Behavior and Behavior Analysis: Research and Practice. He has held leadership positions, including former president of the Mid-American Association of Behavior Analysis and former chair of the Behavioral Gerontology Special Interest Group with the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI).
Baker contributes to professional boards, including the Behavior Analyst Certification Board’s Board of Directors. His work bridges applied behavior analysis with gerontological and organizational behavior management challenges.
