Jon Paul Heyne

Jon Paul Heyne, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of History at the University of Dallas. His expertise lies in Medieval History, Byzantine Studies, and the religious and cultural dynamics of the Holy Land. He teaches courses on Western Civilization, Ancient Greece, Roman History, and Medieval Spirituality.

His research explores Christian-Egyptian relations in the Holy Land during the 14th century, Charlemagne’s influence on Northern European literature, and medieval pilgrimage dynamics. Recent presentations include discussions on Queen Sancia of Majorca and Franciscan contestation in Jerusalem at international medieval congresses.
