Jon Moorby is a Professor and Chair in Livestock Science at the Institute of Biological, Environmental & Rural Sciences (IBERS), Aberystwyth University. His research focuses on enhancing livestock production efficiency while minimizing environmental impacts, particularly through optimizing feed nutrient use and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. He leads major projects in Europe, Africa, and South America, emphasizing sustainable forage systems.
His work spans improving tropical and temperate forages, dietary manipulation to reduce methane, and nitrogen use efficiency in dairy and beef systems.
