Jon Merritt is an Adjunct Instructor in the Department of History at the University of Alabama. He holds a PhD (2017) and MA (2008) from the University of Alabama, and a BA from Valdosta State University. His research focuses on United States History, with particular emphasis on the Korean War and broader themes in military and social history. He teaches courses on Western Civilization and American Civilization, including honors tracks.
