Jon Festinger

Jon Festinger, K.C. is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Thompson Rivers University, specializing in intellectual property, media law, and digital ethics. He concurrently serves as a Visiting Professor at the Centre for Digital Media and holds adjunct roles at the University of British Columbia and the University of Victoria. His career spans over 25 years in legal practice, corporate leadership, and academia, with notable roles as General Counsel at CTV and the Vancouver Canucks. He is the author of Video Game Law and has contributed to landmark legal reviews on digital media regulation. Festinger actively engages in open education initiatives and serves on boards of organizations like Ronald McDonald House and City Opera Vancouver.
