Jon Fenton

Jon Fenton is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Physics at Imperial College London, specializing in undergraduate physics education and teaching scholarship. He serves as Head of Year 1 and leads the Mechanics & Relativity module, while also pioneering innovative teaching technologies like the Lambda Feedback system for automated student feedback.

• Co-leader of a Special Interest Group on student transition and progression

His research focuses on the interplay between social and cognitive learning dimensions, supporting students' transition from school to university, and developing metacognitive skills. He completed a part-time MEd in University Learning and Teaching (2019–2022) with distinction and contributed to the design of interactive seminars in Imperial's interactive lecture theatre.
