Jon Corbett is a Professor in the Department of Community, Culture and Global Studies at the Irving K. Barber Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, University of British Columbia Okanagan. His research focuses on Geography, ethnobiology, cartography, and community-based models of land and resource use, particularly with Indigenous communities in Australia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and British Columbia. He co-directs the Centre for Social, Spatial and Economic Justice and has conducted fieldwork with the Agta and Aeta Tribes in the Philippines and the ExCiteS Research Group at University College London.

His teaching includes courses on resource management policy, the history of environmental thought, and cartography and society.
