Jon Arnold is an Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Choral Studies at Simpson College, where he conducts the College Choir and Chamber Singers, and teaches choral conducting and methods. His career spans academic and community choral leadership, including prior teaching roles at Washburn University, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He has conducted notable ensembles like the Lanier Chamber Singers and Meridian Women’s Chorus.

Dr. Arnold specializes in historical choral music editions, focusing on works by Erhard Bodenschatz and Francisco López Capillas. His dissertation includes premier editions of the Florilegium Portense, and he is currently preparing Bodenschatz’s 1599 Magnificat settings for publication. He actively contributes to the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA).
