John Woolf

John Woolf, PT, ATC, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at the University of Arizona. He holds degrees in Physical Therapy (Northern Arizona University), Exercise and Sports Science (University of Arizona), and Performance Psychology (Grand Canyon University). His expertise centers on biopsychosocial approaches to healthcare, integrating rehabilitation science with psychology and neuroscience.

Previously, he served as Head Athletic Trainer and Director of Sports Medicine at the University of Arizona and CEO of ProActive Physical Therapy. He has lectured for orthopedic surgery and sports medicine programs and emphasizes therapeutic alliances for improved patient outcomes.
