Associate Professor John Walter Frew is a dermatology specialist and researcher affiliated with the University of New South Wales (Faculty of Medicine & Health) and Liverpool Hospital. He completed his MBBS (Hons) in 2009, MMed (Clinical Epidemiology) in 2011, PhD in 2016, and post-doctoral fellowship at Rockefeller University (2018-2020) under Prof. James Krueger, focusing on immunological pathways in Hidradenitis Suppurativa.

Dr. Frew is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists and leads the Asia-Pacific Hidradenitis Suppurativa Foundation. His recent grants include the Shapiro-Silverberg Award (2018-2019) and Hidradenitis Suppurativa Foundation Pilot Grant (2019).
