John Wade

Dr. John Wade is a Lecturer in Computer Science at Ulster University's School of Computing, Engineering and Intelligent Systems. With expertise spanning computational neuroscience and artificial intelligence, he focuses on neural network modeling and biological computation. His research group investigates synaptic plasticity, astrocyte functions, and reservoir computing architectures through mathematical modeling approaches.

Research Interests: Dr. Wade's interdisciplinary work bridges computer science and neuroscience, examining neural signaling pathways, network topologies in biological systems, and computational frameworks for simulating neural processes. Key areas include astrocyte-synapse interactions, heterosynaptic plasticity mechanisms, and optimization of reservoir computing networks.
