John Silver is a Senior Lecturer in the Discipline of Counselling at James Cook University, affiliated with the College of Arts, Society and Education. He holds a Master in Counselling from Queensland University of Technology, alongside qualifications in Ministry, Community Services, and Professional Supervision. John has extensive experience in tertiary education since 2015, progressing from a Sessional Lecturer to his current role, where he oversees student development in ACAP's placement program and serves as First Year Level Co-ordinator.
His research focuses on anger management, spirituality and faith in therapeutic contexts, and therapeutic change processes.
