John R. Regalbuto

John R. Regalbuto is a Professor and SmartState Endowed Chair in Renewable Fuels in the Chemical Engineering Department at the University of South Carolina's Molinaroli College of Engineering and Computing. His research focuses on catalyst preparation methodologies, particularly Strong Electrostatic Adsorption (SEA) techniques for synthesizing high-performance catalysts.

With professional experience at NSF, UOP Research Center, Argonne National Laboratory, and Amoco Oil Company, he brings industrial perspective to fundamental research on metal-support interactions and nanoparticle synthesis. His recent work examines catalyst activation processes and renewable fuel technologies.
