John Neumann

John Neumann is an Associate Professor of Practice and Director of Capstone Programs at The University of Texas at Austin. He holds a B.B.A. in Management from Florida Atlantic University and a Ph.D. in Modeling & Simulation – HCI/Human Systems from the University of Central Florida. His professional expertise spans 20 years in user experience (UX), academic research, and industry collaboration with companies like Dell, IBM, Cigna, Visa, and USAA.

He teaches courses such as Topics in User Experience Design: Digital Accessibility and Special Topics in Information Science: Accessible UX.

As a mentor, he actively guides students through capstone programs and professional projects, emphasizing ethical and legally compliant design practices. His work bridges academic and industrial needs, prioritizing inclusive technology that removes participation barriers for all users.
