John Mino

John Mino is the Family Business Fellow and Lecturer in the Strategy, Management, and Operations department at the Busch School of Business, Catholic University of America. Since 2021, he has contributed to curricular development for the family business co-specialization and leads the school’s Family Business Consortium. His expertise spans business financing, private placements, real estate, and corporate structuring.

Previously, he served as a retired partner at Calfee, establishing the firm’s Washington, DC office. With over 30 years of legal experience, he advised private equity funds, venture capital entities, and start-ups on mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising. John holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University.

His professional background includes counseling domestic and international clients on corporate structuring and has deepened the Busch School’s focus on family business dynamics through academic and industry collaborations.
