John Michaud serves as Director of the School of Legal Studies within Husson University's College of Business. He holds a Bachelor's in Philosophy from St. Francis College (now University of New England), and two Master's degrees: Human Relations from Webster University and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College. With a 25-year career as a Federal Agent with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), he held roles including Director of Counter Terrorism and Regional Director for Operations. Notably, he formed the Special Protective Anti-Terrorism Squads (SPATS). Post-NCIS, he managed corporate security for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and consulted with the Boston Police Academy. In business, he served as Vice President at MBNA in both Personnel and Telesales divisions. He now focuses on teaching, emphasizing critical thinking and precise communication. His pedagogical goal is to develop well-educated graduates who understand multifaceted issues and opposing viewpoints.
