John McIntyre

John McIntyre is a Professor of Animation at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) since 2021. He holds an M.F.A. and B.F.A. in Film & Television from New York University. His professional career includes roles as Animation Supervisor at Cartoon Network Studios (2015–2021), Animation Director at Nickelodeon (2010–2015) and Hanna-Barbera Cartoons (1996–1999), and Storyboard Director at DreamWorks Animation (2014–2015). He has contributed to hit series like Fairly OddParents and T.U.F.F. Puppy.

Dr. McIntyre’s teaching focuses on animation techniques, workflow efficiency, and student skill development through structured assignments and visual examples. His industry experience spans over 25 years, involving leadership in animation production, problem-solving, and collaboration with 2D and 3D artists. He has overseen over 100 episodes across various studios, emphasizing high production values under tight schedules.
