John Logan

John R. Logan is a Professor of Sociology at Brown University, known for his expertise in urban sociology, segregation, and historical demography. He previously held positions at the University at Albany, SUNY, including Distinguished Professor of Sociology and Public Administration. His research focuses on residential segregation, migration, and urban inequality, leveraging historical census data and spatial analysis. Logan has led major initiatives such as the US2010 Project and contributed to understanding segregation trends in American and Chinese cities.
