John L Brodhead, MD, is a part-time Clinical Professor of Medicine and Psychiatry at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. He holds the George N. and Mary Lou Boone Professorship in Medical Excellence and serves as Associate Chief Medical Officer for Keck Hospitals of USC and Executive Vice Chair of the Department of Medicine. He is also Chief of Medicine at Keck Hospital, Director of Athletic Medicine for USC Athletics, and Medical Director of the USC Executive Health Program. With over 30 years of practice, he specializes in executive health, quality management for hospitalized patients, and medical education.
His research interests focus on healthcare systems optimization, including burnout prevention in medical professionals, athletic medicine, and evidence-based inpatient care. His recent work examines interventions for healthcare provider wellness, reflecting his dedication to improving clinical practice environments.
