John Katers

John Katers is Dean of the College of Science, Engineering and Technology and a Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. He joined UWGB in 1995 and has served as Chair of Natural and Applied Sciences and director of the Environmental Management Business Institute (EMBI). His work emphasizes sustainability education, waste management, and cross-campus collaborations like the Online Masters in Sustainable Management program.

Recognized as a Wisconsin Idea Fellow for public service, he completed a Fulbright Specialist project in Chile. His degrees include a BS in Environmental Science/Business, MS in Environmental Science/Policy (UWGB), and PhD in Civil/Environmental Engineering (Marquette).
