John Hinton

John Hinton is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Humanistic Psychology at Saybrook University. He holds a Ph.D. in Transpersonal Psychology from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology, an MBA from Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business, and degrees in philosophy. His research focuses on non-ordinary states of consciousness, spiritual experiences, and methodologies like grounded theory and phenomenological analysis.

Dr. Hinton has chaired 18 dissertation committees and contributed to 20 others, specializing in diverse methodologies including mixed methods. He integrates creative practices like meditation and expressive art into teaching. His consulting work extends to strategic planning for high-tech businesses.
