John Hammond

John Hammond is a Senior Lecturer and Director of GTA Instruction at Wichita State University's Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Physics. He holds a B.S. in Mathematics Education with a Computer Science minor and a Master's degree (MA). Prior to academia, he worked as a software developer. Hammond joined Wichita State in 2012, teaching courses ranging from College Algebra to the History of Mathematics. He emphasizes integrating programming into discrete mathematics instruction and mentoring future math teachers.
