John Flores

John H. Flores is Associate Professor of History at Case Western Reserve University, specializing in Mexican American history, deportation, citizenship, and transnational labor movements. His research examines Latin American social influences on US immigrant communities.

Notably, he created the first comprehensive census of Hispanic naturalization patterns in Chicago (1900-1940), tracing political activities to origins in Mexico, Nicaragua, and Cuba. Current research analyzes lynching violence along the US-Mexico border during the Mexican Revolution era.
